Past Life Regression (PLR)

This is a technique which will take an individual back through time by accessing normally hidden memories in the subconscious mind. It employs the use of hypnosis along with visualisation procedures similar to those used in some forms of meditation.

So, what can you encounter?

• Some people discover previous lives that they have shared with people that they have a close bond with in their present life.

Was there someone in my room last night?  Did I feel the bed covers move?  Did I see a ghost?

These are all questions that are asked here at Ancient Magick.  They are the kind of thing you can only ask in a safe environment like this, and not the sort of thing you broach with your friends just in case you get laughed out of the building.

You would be surprised, however, just how many people do think that they have some kind of entity in their house/room, and who swear they have seen someone or someTHING in their room!

If you have activity in your room or house - this is activity of any kind, including psychic activity (trust your gut instinct), then the first thing to do is SMUDGE.

Smudging is a Native American ritual.  Shops like ours sell the Sage bundles, bought from California or other Native American parts.  The plants are grown on sacred ground and the Native American Indians bind them into smudge bundles for you to carry out the ritual of cleansing the energies of your home or workplace.

Once this is done, you should again trust your instincts to feel the energy; has it changed?; is it calmer?;  Try not to let your imagination run away with you.  Keep calm and relax in to the energy - as you begin to feel it take note of your reaction.  Does it feel calm, good, peaceful, still unsettled etc?

If the energies are calm, and it feels better, I suggest you take the smoke from the smudge stick around you aura (your own energies) before setting it out and lighting a white candle to close the ritual.  You can do this periodically, especially if you have a lot of negative stuff going off in your life at that time, such as work issues or family issues; the energies will need to be kept clean so that any negative spirit or energies cannot feed from it.

If the energies do not feel settled, even if they feel better, then you will need to use a further cleasning ritual and for a little longer.  But fear not, most energies can be calmed, and it is often the negative energies we give off such as fear, anger etc that feed it and prolong it.

Embrace the new energy of the Summer Solstice and believe the magick of powerful thinking, this is the time to blow away the old, let in the new energy and move forward with the energy of the solstice.

One card can be drawn and meditated upon, or before an important event such as a job interview.  When you have a pressing problem, pick out a card for advice, sleep with the card under your pillow to absorb that strength from the angels or Goddesses. 

Many people ask me -

"Is it true you can't buy your own tarot, and that someone else has to buy them for you?"

Well, if you can get someone else to buy them for you, good for you!  I reply BUT

CHOOSE your own tarot!  For beginners choose a pack with illustration that appeal to you, a picture that speaks to you, say you look at the card and you immediately think 'sorrow' that is the kind of cards you need!  Ones that appeal to your intuition and psychic abilities ( we all have them!) 

So the rules to buying tarot cards is:-

Choose your own (even if you get someone else to pay :))

Make sure the pictures speak to you, understand their meaning

Keep them with you, sleep with them under your pillow

Wrap them in a cloth or keep them in a box or bag

If you are reading for others you have to let them touch the cards

If you feel your cards need cleansing use a smudge stick and pass the cards through the smoke

Never doubt the cards, they are a fantastic tool to enhance your abilities

Use sumple layouts, you do not need anything too complicated, work on your own spreads

Each crystal resonates to a different vibration, and apart from being beautiful to look at these crystals can balance out our body energies.  The best way to choose a crystal is to take your time, breath easily, relax and see which one you are drawn to.  Then take a look at the crystal meanings and uses in a reference book such as the Crystal Bible,  You will be amazed how your abilities will help you choose the right one for the purpose!  Green Epidot is wonderful to help heal heartbreak and healing of the heart emotions, Citrine is the merchant stone and carrying a small piece in your purse or wallet will keep the money coming in!

You should always cleanse your crystal, using water, or our special cleansing liquid or sprays, or pass the stone through the smoke of a sage bundle or incense stick,  The smoke 'smudges' the energies and cleanses them ready for you to use.  Our crystals are charged with the positive energy of our store and we are always complimented on the quality of our crystals. 

If you feel your luck needs changing, then 'smudge' your auric field with a Sage smudge bundle, also smudge the rooms in your home - this cleanses away the negative energy that may have accumulated around you. Like attracts like, and so if your energies are dark or need cleansing then you will not draw the positive energies you need to change your luck.

Once you have smudged your home and aura, then carry a peice of tourmaline as protection along with a Rose quartz or Rhodocrosite to draw loving energies.

Last week was another fabulous week of colourful happenings in the Ancient Magick shop. 

A lady came in on wednesday.  Her father was ill and she wanted a crystal to help him and one to help her.  As I often do, I asked her to choose one for her needs, and I would then tell her the meaning of the stone she had chosen.  I told her to fill her mind with her request - a crystal to help them - and she chose a Rose Quartz; 'The love stone'.  She was amazed she had chosen such an apt stone, but I knew she would.  She was also drawn to Aventurine, a beautiful Green stone that is healing to the heart chakra and sooths the nerves.  Perfect again!  I placed her stones in a small pink bag to complete her purchase; and before passing it over I carried out reiki on the stones to enhance their healing abilities.  Gillian

I have had several people in this week who look to have everything going for them, looks, youth, health etc....and yet they constantly put themselves down - What is it that makes us doubt ourselves?  That little voice in the head!  Self talk can be very destructive, so why not practice correcting it? 

When something goes wrong, don't let that little self voice say, 'it's you!  you are useless, it's your fault etc', change it to - OK, so I have made a bad choice, but I will learn from it.  I won't be doing that again!  This has been a useful lesson to learn.  Well done me!
